Chipton-Ross is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer for a contract opportunity in Grand Prairie, TX.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- 7-10 years of experience
- SECRET security clearance
- Real-time embedded software development
- C++ (version 11 or higher)
- Linux Operating Systems (CentOS, Rocky 8, or similar distribution)
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The software is being developed on multi-core multi-threading environment using C++ on CentOS Linux and Windows Operating Systems environment.
- The candidate will experience all phases of software development ranging from requirements analysis through code implementation and formal qualification testing.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Multi-threading/multiprocessing development
- GitLab CI/CD Pipelines
- GoogleTest or similar Unit test tool
Knowledge of Publish / Subscribe communication protocol Data Distribution Services (DDS) by RTI is preferred- Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA)
- C-Make
- Cameo Modeler
Windows Operating System- Experience as a software engineer working with multi-disciplined teams
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Accredited Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering or related field
WORK HOURS:
- Full-Time
- 4/10 work schedule
- 1st Shift
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
