Chipton-Ross is seeking a Senior Structural Analyst for a contract opportunity in Greenville, TX.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Perform modal analysis. Develop static-equivalent loads and dynamic stiffness requirements. Dynamic structural analysis with MSC Nastran and LS-DYNA. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Minimum of 12 years of commercial or military aircraft dynamic analysis including the following:
    • •Create finite element models using MSC Patran or Siemens Femap. •Determine natural frequencies and mode shapes with MSC Nastran (SOL 103). •Determine frequency and transient response with MSC Nastran (SOL 111 & 112). •Develop static equivalent loading and dynamic stiffness requirements for impact, aircraft ditching, shock, and vibration conditions. •Simulate bird strike in LS-DYNA. •Analyze and support testing for dynamic environment conditions •Prepare analysis reports, test plans, and test reports necessary for airworthiness.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Aeroelastic and dynamic load analysis including frequency response and modal analysis of modifications to primary and secondary aircraft structure including systems and components. Determine dynamic mass and stiffness characteristics. Participate in flight tests programs to collect and reduce dynamic data used to develop vibration spectra, evaluate flutter characteristics, and to determine acoustic profiles.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • NX (CAD), Teamcenter, predictive acoustic analysis, flutter analysis, instrumentation and test for verification of structural dynamic parameters, FAA and U.S. military airworthiness requirements.

    • REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Minimum of B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, or equivalent Engineering degree.
    • **Education MUST be accredited**

    WORK HOURS:

  • Full-Time- Monday-Friday 08:00am-05:00pm

    • ADDITIONAL:

  • Candidate must hold an active secret clearance.


    • Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
