Chipton-Ross is seeking 11 Fabrication Specialist A's for a contract opportunity in North Charleston, SC.
OnsiteBASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Conventional material layup, precision measuring, power, pneumatic and hand tools. o CNC experience. o Crane Operations experience. o Experience reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, material processes, schematic and diagrams in aviation.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs machine set-up, machining, welding set-up, welding, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending and fabrication tasks. Performs composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasks. Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components. Assembles, repairs, modifies and installs various power plants and drive trains. Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products. Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products. Prepares test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests. Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation. Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements. Works on articles of moderate complexity using established drawings and requirements.
o 3 months+ experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite and/or other specialized computer applications. o 3 months+ experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading, and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English. o 3 months+ experience in a technical or mechanical field performing work with basic hand, power and/or pneumatic (air) tools.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
o Ability to meet physical demands of the role such as: flexion and extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching overhead, rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist and walking, climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, crouching (squatting). o Ability to carry and lift up to 10-35 pounds. o Ability to work with High Hazard Chemicals.REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. high school diploma/GED).WORK HOURS:
MUST BE OPEN TO WORKING 1st, 2nd or 3rd SHIFT.PER CLIENT:
