Chipton-Ross is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer for a contract opportunity in Orlando, FL.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)

  • Candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a Quality Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer in a machine-shop or precision-manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience with precision measurement equipment (CMM, laser trackers, surface plates, optical comparators) and statistical process control (SPC).
  • Familiarity with GD&T, ASME Y14.5, and interpretation of engineering drawings.
  • Working knowledge of quality management systems (AS9100, ISO-9001) and audit processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and meet tight production schedules.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, maintain, and audit quality standards, work instructions, and inspection procedures for machined parts
  • Perform technical evaluations of product requirements, specifications, drawings, and process documentation.
  • Partner with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customers to resolve quality issues and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
  • Lead failure investigations, material review board (MRB) actions, and corrective preventive action (CAPA) implementation, guaranteeing reliability and regulatory compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost internal and supplier performance and productivity.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)

  • Experience with advanced machining processes (CNC milling, turning, EDM).

REQUIRED EDUCATION

  • Accredited Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

WORK HOURS

  • 4/10-1st Shift

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
