End User Support 1

Chipton-Ross is seeking an End User Support 1 for a hybrid/contract opportunity in Newport News, VA.

• Provides technical support to business area management and staffs for personal computer systems software, hardware and network connectivity.
• Installs, configures and troubleshoots desktop systems, workstations and network connectivity issues.
• May assign and maintain user passwords for specialized software.
• This position will be in the IT liaison support group. This group facilitates software, hardware, and access to EB systems for HII employees. The individual will also support local troubleshooting and resolution, or resolution with the EB help desk.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially when working with users and other support groups (EBIT, NNSIT, EB Production Support)
• Ability to listen carefully, ask the right follow-up questions, and understand a user’s issue before taking action
• Willingness to follow documented procedures accurately and consistently
• Dependability and responsiveness during work hours, especially since much of our work is remote and timely communication through Teams, phone, or email is important.
• Strong attention to detail when handling access requests, user information, ticket updates, and distribution communications.
• Ability to manage multiple requests or issues at one time without losing accuracy or follow-through
• A proactive approach to identifying roadblocks, asking questions early, and communicating status updates.

• Experience with access requests, ticketing systems, user support, EB/NNS processes, Teamcenter, Citrix, or program-specific knowledge would be a PLUS

Bachelors Degree is required.

School must be accredited.

5/40 workweek. The shift for this position will be determined prior to the candidate's start. It will be between 5:30 am and 5:30 pm.

This position will be fully remote. Period travel to NNS may be required.
