Machine Operator 2

Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Machine Operator 2's for a contract opportunity in San Diego, CA.

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 2-5 years of relevant experience.
• Familiar with HAAS control.
• Familiar with changing and setting tool offsets.

Looking for a Machine Operator 2 to support our machine department. As a member of the machine department, you'll get to machine composite hardware. This position will serve on-site at Structures.

Responsibilities:

Operates light-duty bench- or floor-type machine tools and equipment such as small lathes, power mills, extruding machines, drills or punch presses, power brakes, shears or saws. May set up machining machines and make adjustments, and perform maintenance on machines. Checks work using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances. Some machines may be numerically controlled. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

• Experience with basic CNC machining practices.
• 5-axis experience.

High School Diploma/GED is required.

School must be accredited.

3/12 work week. Friday - Sunday. This position will serve on-site at San Diego, CA.
