Chipton-Ross is seeking a Quality Engineer 4 for a contract opportunity in Red Oak, TX

Experience and Other Requirements -

  • Experience with the manufacturing processes of large to medium composite and/or metallic major structures.
  • Ability to understand, communicate and present complex technical information to a wide audience.
  • The candidate will be highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Self-motivated, willingness to train others, and able to proactively recognize and prioritize business needs.
  • Experience in Computer Aided Design (CAD) required, experience with CATIA or NX a plus.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, blueprint reading & practices such as geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, model definition, tolerance analysis, and engineering bill of materials.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, great attention to detail and exceptional communication skills
  • Experience with AS9145 (APQP/PPAP) and ability to execute and lead a group to completion of all APQP outputs (PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, PPAP, etc.) preferred. AS13100 experience a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Process/Product Configuration Control and Change Management.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, great attention to detail and exceptional communication skills.

Physical Demands

  • Frequently required to spend sitting at a workstation and using office equipment.
  • May be required to walk or stand for brief or long periods.
  • May be required to use stairs.
  • Must occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move up to 40 pounds of office supplies and materials.
  • May be required to reach with arms and hands and to stoop, kneel or crouch.

Education

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in a relevant field (such as mechanical, manufacturing or aerospace engineering). Candidates having minimum 12 years equivalent work experience may be considered.

Work Schedule

Position is 100% onsite, shift is Monday - Thursday (4x10) with occasional support beyond standard work week.

Must be open to 1st or 2nd shift.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
