Test Technician 2

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Test Technician 2 for a contract opportunity in Oxnard, CA.

• High School diploma or equivalent and 3 years' additional education and/or related experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams, plus experience with multimeters, calipers, or torque wrenches.
• Attention to detail, ability to spot minor flaws and recording accurate data.
• 3+ years overall experience as a technician in the manufacturing/engineering field.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience working with a Microsoft Office product and process documentation.
• Experience working in Cleanroom Environment and Environmental Test Area.
• Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Must be able to work on feet for extended periods of time.
• Ability to manipulate equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Run functional, electrical, or mechanical tests on components following written instructions.
• Document results, log errors, and report non-conformances to engineers, quality and manufacturing.
• Identify and analyze equipment failures or defects during testing Execute comprehensive component and system level test plans, procedures and test events.
• Participate in test planning and test readiness reviews.
• Analyze measurement requirements and equipment measurement tolerances.
• Define and maintain documented best practices for test processes and equipment.
• Contribute to maintaining and improving test equipment and infrastructure.
• Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such component and systems level test results and engineering design changes.
• Conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.
• Maintains engineering documentation and reports (procedures and test reports).
• Support internal and external customers' needs.
• Identify, troubleshoot and solve test problems and provide assistance to manufacturing, inspection and test engineering related issues.
• Analyze data and provide reports in a variety of customers' format.

• Familiarity with working around delicate spacecraft hardware an advantage.
• Certification in engineering disciplines.
• Some college preferred.

High School Diploma is required.

School must be accredited.

9/80 workweek. Must be able to support working multiple shifts; ie: 1st shift 6am to 3:30pm and 2nd shift 2:30pm to Midnight.
