Job #220006Chipton-Ross is seeking a Warehouse Associate for a contract opportunity in Buena Park, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)
One or more years of warehouse, receiving, shipping, materials, or related experience; strong candidates without direct experience will be considered.
Ability to receive shipments accurately - verifying parts, quantities, and documentation against purchase orders and packing slips.
Experience performing transactions in an ERP, inventory, or warehouse system, or the ability to learn one quickly.
Ability to read part numbers, quantities, units of measure, purchase orders, labels, and basic manufacturing documentation.
Basic computer skills, including data entry and basic Microsoft Excel or similar.
Strong attention to detail, dependability, organization, and follow-through.
Ability to work onsite, stand and walk for extended periods, and safely lift and move material.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive incoming shipments: unload deliveries, verify contents against the packing slip and purchase order, and check part numbers, quantities, condition, and required documentation.
Process incoming purchase orders in the ERP system - record receipts against the correct PO lines, quantities, and units of measure, and route material to inspection or stock as required.
Perform inventory transactions within the scope of the role - receipts, put-aways, moves, and location updates - keeping records accurate and material properly identified.
Move received material to the correct storage, inspection, or staging locations, maintaining lot, heat, serial, and other required traceability.
Label, tag, and organize material so it is stored correctly and can be located easily, and help keep warehouse and receiving areas clean, safe, and orderly.
Flag receiving discrepancies - shortages, overages, damage, wrong parts, or missing documentation - to
Purchasing, Inspection, or Inventory Control for resolution.
Support scheduled and directed cycle counts and physical inventories by counting, locating, and verifying material as assigned.
Assist with picking, kitting, staging, and material movement between receiving, warehouse, production, and shipping areas when needed.
Use material-handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks when trained and authorized, following all safety, lifting, storage, and traffic requirements.
Perform receiving and inventory tasks in accordance with company procedures, customer requirements, the quality management system, and applicable export-control requirements.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
